In January, three co-op trustees representing their respective boundaries will host meetings with the public ahead of an online election exclusively for Clay Electric members. The annual gatherings are held to discuss business and potentially identify other members of the districts who might be qualified to represent members of the district.

Importantly, for these meetings to be considered legal, at least 15 members of the co-op within the respective district must be present.

Members who have registered for a meeting will be eligible to win a $100 bill credit.

  • District 2 (Kelley Smith, incumbent): Monday, Jan. 5 at Sam Hogg Pavilion, 160 S. Electric Ave., Palatka, FL 32177
  • District 6 (Jimmy Wilson, incumbent): Tuesday, Jan. 6 at Middleburg Civic Center, 2102 Palmetto St., Middleburg, FL 32068
  • District 4 (Carl Malphurs, incumbent): Thursday, Jan. 8 at New Oak Grove Baptist Church, 18100 NW 262nd Ave., Alachua, FL 32615

Registration for each meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting itself starts at 6 p.m.
