Governor Lombardo Announces Two-Hour Delay for State Government Offices in Washoe, Carson, and Storey County, And Office Closure for Pershing County – Friday, February 20, 2026

This morning, Governor Lombardo announced a two-hour delay for State government offices (except essential public safety and corrections personnel) for Carson City, Washoe, and Storey County, with an office closure for the day in Pershing County. State government offices with a delayed start will open at 10:00 AM today, Friday, February 20, 2026.

The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS) are reporting icy roads and potentially hazardous driving conditions in these areas.

The safety and well-being of the State's employees are of the Governor's top priority, and he urges them to drive carefully and continue following guidance from NDOT and DPS.
