WVU president to visit WVU Tech during ‘Welcome Home Tour’ stops in Raleigh County

Benson will visit Raleigh County - the home of WVU Institute of Technology - as part of his inaugural "Welcome Home Tour," which is taking him to communities across the Mountain State. Kanawha St., Beckley11 a.m. • Stop at Chocolate Moose Coffee1818 Harper Road, Beckley1:30 p.m. NOTES: The "Welcome Home Tour" stops in Raleigh County will come a day after President Benson delivers his first State of the University address during the Faculty Senate meeting in Morgantown. Once he visits Raleigh County, President Benson will have officially traveled to 29 West Virginia counties in the 13 weeks since he became the University's 27th president. His goal is to get to all 55 counties by next summer. Information about future tour dates will be released as details are finalized.
