City Implements Fast-Track Option For Residential Interior Remodels Starting July 1

6/30/2025

Starting July 1, the City of Tulsa Permit Center will offer a fast-track option for residential interior remodel permits that can be processed within one business day.
The option gives homeowners and residential developers an additional tool to more quickly and efficiently accelerate the timeline for interior remodel projects.
The new fast-track option, which can cut the interior permitting time down from an average of two weeks to one business day, is available for both homeowners and developers at an additional fee to be paid on top of the permit fees required for the job being done.
In 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City's fast-track option was put on hold. After a five-year hiatus and a re-evaluation of community needs, the option is once again available by appointment only. Fast-track reviews are conducted Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Appointments can be made by phone when residents contact one of the following City staff members:
  • Danny Whiteman, (918) 596-9664
  • George Goza, (918) 576-5405
  • Jeff Taylor, (918) 596-7637
