Free oil filter exchange every weekend in May

Every weekend in May, Roseville residents can bring in their used oil filter to participating AutoZone locations and receive a new FREE oil filter while supplies last. Funded in part by CalRecycle, this program makes it easy to recycle properly and keep used oil filters out of the landfill.

Roseville AutoZone locations

  • 5170 Foothills Blvd., Suite 150
  • 361 Roseville Square
  • 2020 Blue Oaks Blvd.

Bring your used oil filter to one of these locations any weekend in May and exchange it for a new one.

Important details

  • Must be a Roseville resident
  • Proof of residency required (driver's license or recent utility bill)
  • Limit one new oil filter per household
  • Free oil filter (up to a $9.99 value)
  • New oil filters available while supplies last

How to recycle your used oil or filter

Why it matters
Used oil filters are completely recyclable. In California, about 67 million used oil filters are generated each year. They are banned from landfills because they contain residual oil, but each filter also contains about one pound of recyclable steel that can be recovered and reused.
