One-Way Traffic Control Next Week

Amador County - The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place to perform construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 49 (SR-49) and 88 in Amador County next week.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control takes place at SR-16 for tree work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

State Route 88

  • One-way traffic control takes place from just west of Blue Sky Drive to SR-49 for tree work beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2026, through Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place at SR-26/Red Corral Road for tree work on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Shake Ridge Road to Cooks Station for shoulder work on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Mud Springs Sand House to Lumber Yard Ranger Station Entrance/Ellis Road for shoulder work beginning Tuesday, March 24, 2026, through Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control takes place from Lumber Yard Ranger Station Entrance/Ellis Road to Peddler Hill Maintenance Station for tree work beginning Tuesday, March 24, 2026, through Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
