AHN Wexford, Harmar Hospitals Recognized with 2024 Patient Experience Award from Press Ganey

WEXFORD, Pa.- Allegheny Health Network (AHN) announced today that AHN Wexford Hospital is a recipient of the 2024 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award® from Press Ganey in the 'patient experience' category. This is the second year consecutively that the hospital's inpatient care has been recognized with the award, and the third year consecutively for the hospital to be recognized by Press Ganey.

Press Ganey is a nationally renowned health care company that measures and analyzes patient satisfaction through surveys and supports health care organizations in their quality improvement initiatives. Of the more than 41,000 health care facilities that work with Press Ganey, the Guardian of Excellence Award is given annually to those that rank in the 95th percentile for patient experience.

Located north of Pittsburgh in Pine Twp., AHN Wexford Hospital includes 158 inpatient beds and a 24-bed emergency department which is capable of caring for both adult and pediatric patients. The hospital has received many awards and accolades across quality, safety and patient experience since opening its doors in 2021.

AHN Wexford has also continually expanded its programs and services to provide those who live in nearby communities with more convenient, high-quality care. The hospital launched last spring a minimally invasive spinal surgery program, marking its latest milestone in providing patients with the highest level of surgical care available. It also expanded its pediatric services and capabilities, including inpatient care for children with acute medical conditions.

AHN Harmar Neighborhood Hospital is a 2024 Guardian of Excellence award recipient for patient experience in the emergency department category. In addition to its full-service emergency department, the facility houses a 10-bed inpatient unit for observation and short-stay admissions.

The 2024 Press Ganey Human Experience Award winners will be recognized at HX25, a conference to be held Feb. 3-5, 2025, in Orlando, Fla.
