Congressman Bennie Thompson Announces $367,620 Awarded to The Central Mississippi Civic Improvement Association, Inc.

BOLTON, MS - Congressman Bennie Thompson announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded a federal grant in the amount of $367,620 through the H49 Healthy Start Initiative to support critical maternal and child health services to the Central Mississippi Civic Improvement Association, Inc. This funding will support efforts to improve health outcomes for mothers, infants, and families in communities across the region.

The Healthy Start Initiative, administered by HHS, focuses on reducing infant mortality, improving maternal health, and addressing health disparities in high-need areas.
