**Reminder** Important Court Procedure Updates: Court Proceeding Notifications and Chapter 13 Deadlines

Due to increased bankruptcy filings and budget issues, the Court is making the following changes.

1. Effective July 21, 2025, courtroom deputies will no longer notify parties by email if their scheduled hearing will be held in-person, telephonically, proceed by default, or otherwise not be called. To see if your proceeding will be held in-person, telephonically, proceed by default, or will not be called, look at the presiding judge's public calendar 24 hours before the scheduled hearing on the court's website at: https://www.mnb.uscourts.gov/judges-calendars. Call-in instructions for telephonic proceedings will be on the judge's public calendar. In addition, two additional requirements must be complied with for all hearings: The moving party must submit a MSWord version of ALL proposed orders to [email protected] or [email protected] 24 hours before the scheduled hearing. Any agreed orders and requests for continuances must be submitted within 24 hours before the scheduled hearing. (Please note that you may only request a continuance if you have not otherwise been advised that no more continuances will be granted for that proceeding.)
2. Starting with the July Chapter 13 calendars, the Court is imposing a strict deadline to submit changes to the Chapter 13 calendar. All requests for continuances, withdrawals of motions or objections, or other actions that would result in a change to the Chapter 13 calendar must be filed in CM/ECF by 2:00 p.m. the day before the calendar. Any request filed after 2:00 p.m. will not be processed and will remain on the calendar and be called. Unless otherwise advised by the presiding judge, the proceeding will be held in-person.
