On Air Presents today announced the return of On Air Fest, taking place February 23-25, 2027 in Brooklyn. Marking the festival's landmark 10th edition, the three-day anniversary celebration will bring together the creators, artists, industry leaders and cultural voices shaping the future of storytelling through conversations, live podcasts, performances, parties and immersive experiences.
Alongside today's announcement, On Air Fest has unveiled a new anniversary logo, website and creative design vision for its second decade. The festival's updated identity embraces an edgy, glitchy and experimental aesthetic inspired by remix culture, sound visualization and the evolution of podcasting, reflecting On Air's place at the intersection of art, media, technology and live experience. Check out the new site HERE .
The 2027 festival will explore "10 Years On…," an open-ended celebration of the creativity, storytelling, culture, podcasts, community and innovation that have defined On Air since its launch. Drawing on a decade of boundary-pushing programming, this year's festival will remix the people, ideas, and formats that have shaped On Air's history while looking ahead to what's next.
As artificial intelligence reshapes media and creative work, On Air Fest 2027 will emphasize the irreplaceable value of in-person connection and experiences audiences can see, hear, touch, and feel. Combining the spirit of an art institution and music festival with a creator-led approach, On Air brings podcasts, creators, audiences, and brands together in a feedback loop between the feed and the stage, creating new opportunities for experimentation, collaboration, and original cultural experiences.
"Reaching our 10th festival is an opportunity to celebrate everything On Air has helped set in motion," said Scott Newman, Founder and Director of On Air Presents. "This year is about remixing a decade of ideas, voices and experiences into something new. At a moment when so much of culture is mediated through screens, we believe in the power of real people coming together around stories, performances and creative experiences that could only happen live in person."
The festival begins Tuesday, February 23, with the Podcast Business Summitpresented with Bloomberg at Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. Hosted by Bloomberg reporter Ashley Carman, the invite-only daytime gathering will convene leaders across media, technology, advertising, publishing and podcasting. Applications to attend the Summit are now open HERE .
That evening, the Ambies, The Podcast Academy's annual Awards for Excellence in Podcasting, returns to On Air for the second consecutive year, honoring the year's most outstanding achievements in podcasting at Arlo Williamsburg, directly across the street from Wythe Hotel. Ambie Submissions are now open; podcasters and publishers can submit HERE .
"The Ambies represent the very best of podcasting, and we want the celebration around them to feel just as ambitious as the work we honor," said Ami Thakkar, Executive Director of The Podcast Academy. "We're thrilled to partner with On Air Fest for a second year to create a celebration worthy of this extraordinary community."
Together, On Air Presents and its partners will bring a fresh creative approach to both events, reimagining how the podcast industry gathers, exchanges ideas, and celebrates its best work.
On Wednesday, February 24, On Air Fest's public programming begins with a full day of industry and creative conversations, followed by the official festival party that evening. Programming continues Thursday, February 25, with additional industry and creative sessions during the day and a closing night of live shows, performances, and more.
