Auto Care Association, MEMA to Host Webinar on Powertrain Trends Shaping Aftermarket

BETHESDA, Md. - Jan. 15, 2026 - As the powertrain landscape continues to evolve, the Auto Care Association and MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers will host a members-only webinar examining the latest data and insights shaping the future of the automotive aftermarket.

The webinar will take place Thursday, Jan. 29, from 1 - 2 p.m. ET, and will feature Strategy& presenting findings from the Joint Powertrain Trends and Outlook Forecast 2025 Update, first unveiled at AAPEX 2025. The session will provide a data-driven look at how shifting consumer sentiment, slowing battery electric vehicle (BEV) adoption and the accelerating rise of hybrid vehicles are influencing the road to 2035.

"The pace of change in powertrain technology has created both uncertainty and opportunity for the aftermarket," said Michael Chung, senior director, market intelligence, Auto Care Association. "This webinar equips members with clear, actionable insight to help them plan, invest and compete in a rapidly transforming market."

During the webinar, participants will gain insight into:

  • How consumers currently view BEVs and the factors driving increased hybrid adoption;
  • How the mix of BEV and hybrid new vehicle sales is expected to evolve through 2035; and
  • What's fueling China's rapid progress in BEV adoption and why it matters to the global aftermarket.

The webinar is free and available exclusively to members of the Auto Care Association and MEMA Aftermarket Suppliers; advance registration is required. Auto Care Association members should select "continue as guest" when directed to the MEMA registration page.
