1. Thailand categorically rejects Cambodia's allegations regarding the recent visit of the Prime Minister of Thailand to the border area.

2. On 23 August 2026, the Prime Minister led a delegation on a field visit to Chong An Ma, Ubon Ratchathani Province, to assess the situation and provide moral support to Thai military personnel carrying out their duties, including the one who stepped on a landmine on 17 August 2026. The said visit was conducted on the Thai side, in strict conformity to the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special General Border Committee (GBC) Meeting signed by both sides on 27 December 2025.

3. Thailand remains firmly committed to resolving differences peacefully through bilateral mechanisms, and has adhered strictly to all agreements between Thailand and Cambodia. Thailand calls on Cambodia to cease disseminating such misleading allegations and to cooperate in good faith with Thailand to create an environment conducive to resolution of problems between the two neighboring countries.
