McCaul Votes to Support America’s Veterans

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Michael McCaul (R-Texas) issued the following statement praising the passage of the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act, which ensures veterans have access to the highest quality of care the United States can provide.

"As the son of a World War II B-17 bombardier, I was proud to sponsor this comprehensive legislation that guarantees America's heroes have all the resources they need," said Rep. McCaul. "We owe current and future veterans an enormous debt of gratitude, and this bill brings us one step closer to giving them the assistance they deserve."

The Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act ensures that veterans have access to modern and high-quality care and services they have earned. This bill includes bipartisan proposals that would enhance and reform the delivery of services at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by putting veterans and their families first.

It delivers on the promise House Republicans made to create a modern and efficient VA, expands economic and healthcare opportunities, modernizes the disability benefits claims process, and holds the VA accountable to taxpayers and veterans they serve.
