Lowering of the County Flag: Thomas L. Flint

This is to advise that Commissioner President Reuben B. Collins, II, Esq. ordered the Charles County flag to be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full staff at sunset on Thursday, October 1, 2026, to honor Lifetime member of the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department Thomas L. Flint.

Tom joined the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department in 1971 and faithfully served our department and community for more than five decades. Throughout his many years of service, Tom held several administrative and operational roles, providing leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the fire service.

Our department is eternally grateful for Tom's many years of dedicated service and for the lasting impact he made on the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department and those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

Please keep Tom, his family, friends, and his extended public safety family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
