DOTI Travel Advisory

DENVER - Denver's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DOTI) would like the public to be aware of street paving operations happening on some arterial roadways in Denver starting next week and travelers should consider alternate routes.

Milling/Paving Operations on Broadway and Lincoln Street

On Monday, September 14, a DOTI crew will start work to create a smoother ride along Broadway in the Civic Center area of town from 13th Avenue to 16th Avenue, using a mill to remove the old asphalt surface.

The milling crew on Broadway is expected to wrap up Wednesday, September 16, weather permitting, then move to Lincoln Street on Thursday, September 17, to start milling from Colfax Avenue to 20th Avenue, wrapping up milling operations on Lincoln Street the following Wednesday, September 23.

A paving crew will then follow those milling operations, requiring lane closures to complete the work and lay down a fresh layer of asphalt. We'll offer an update on the paving schedule as that approaches.

Crews will work to keep two travel lanes open during work hours from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Travelers should expect to encounter lane closures during that time and are strongly urged to consider alternate routes to avoid delays.

Milling/Paving Operations on East Alameda Avenue, Dahlia Street to Monaco Street

Also starting Monday, September 14, and continuing to Friday, October 9, DOTI will be milling and paving East Alameda Avenue from Dahlia Street to Monaco Street. Milling will occur first, then paving. Crews will work to keep one travel lane open in each direction open. Travelers may wish to consider alternate routes.
