CTU at the Science Fair: World of Science and Technology

This year, the Czech Technical University in Prague will present an exhibition called ČVUT: Svět vědy a techniky, which connects the activities of the faculties of civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, nuclear engineering, physical engineering, biomedical engineering, information technology, the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies, and the EuroTeQ program. Visitors will be guided through the entire exhibition by a playful Scrabble player who will draw them into the discovery of individual stations.

What can you try at CTU?

You will design a course on a hydraulic model of a rowing slalom course, where you will immediately see how the water flow and the difficulty of the section change using magnetic obstacles. You will get to know the ExoMy rover, a new addition to CTU Robotics, whose goal is autonomous movement in open spaces using computer vision and other modern technologies.
You will discover the world of modern technologies through the EduGems board escape game with logical tasks and you will also try soldering. You will see the MARV robot and the Brian robotic building kit, which will introduce you to the basics of robotics and programming. You will become a nuclear operator! Would you like to sit at the control panel and control a fission reaction? You can try it with us. For creative people, we also have a reactor building kit ready.
You will try wireless heart rate measurement and find out more about mobile phone radiation. You will also learn about the Homebalance and Flexiguard systems and, using virtual reality glasses, you will get to know the anatomy of the human body in detail. You will learn how to easily program smart mini Ozobot robots using color codes. Artificial intelligence will reward you with a sweet reward for your smile. Then you can enter virtual reality, where you will find yourself in a completely different world for a moment, or play computer games created by our students and try out a business simulation in the Financial Arcades, where you will manage your own start-up and make decisions about finances, investments and strategy.
