DAYTON, NV - Earlier this week, U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen (D-NV) visited Dayton, Nevada to meet with local organizations and tour projects made possible through federal funding she helped secure. Senator Rosen started her day with a visit to the Boys and Girls Club of Mason Valley, where she was able to see the progress being made on the new Early Learning Center in Dayton. The new Center, which received $3.5 million from the American Rescue Plan Act for its construction, will expand capacity to accommodate 64 children.
Senator Rosen then stopped by the Healthy Communities Coalition (HCC), seeing all the great work that is being done to support individuals in Lyon, Storey, and Mineral Counties. Founded in 1995, HCC provides direct mental health services, housing assistance, public health awareness, and provides access to their food pantries.
Senator Rosen has made it one of her priorities in the Senate to secure federal funding for essential projects all across the state. Last year, she secured more than 623 million in federal funding for Nevada. Already this year, she has secured millions for Nevada's housing, airports, and rural communities.
