HARRISBURG- Rep. Jeremy Shaffer (R-Allegheny) took the oath of office Tuesday to begin his first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Shaffer was elected in November to serve a two-year term representing the 28th Legislative District.
"I am humbled and honored to serve the residents of northern Allegheny County in the House of Representatives," Shaffer said. "I am eager to spend this new session working with our residents and advocating for them in Harrisburg."
Shaffer's priorities for the 2025-26 Legislative Session include:
• Creating an environment where businesses and families can thrive.
• Reducing our taxes and regulations to protect taxpayers.
• Supporting small businesses by growing our economic opportunities.
• Supporting our students, teachers and parents by making education more accessible and transparent.
• Bridging the gap of bipartisanship in Harrisburg and beyond.
• Growing our area into the envy of Pennsylvania.
The 28th Legislative District includes the Borough of Bradford Woods and the townships of Hampton, Marshall, Pine, Richland and West Deer.
