April 15, 2026-April is Jazz Appreciation Month, and the Jazz Program at Missouri Western State University is doing its part to promote this great American art form by hosting its Spring Jazz Concert at 7:30 p.m.Thursday, April 16 in the Potter Hall Theater.
The Jazz Ensemble, directed by Bob Long, will perform a variety of literature, showcasing works by more contemporary composers/arrangers such as Michael Philip Mossman, Gordon Goodwin, and Mo West friend, David Sharp. You will also hear from the Mo West sax section as they perform a couple of Super-Sax style works by Tom Kubis and the great Benny Carter.
