The President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Rodrigo Paz Pereira, will make an official visit to Brazil on March 16 and 17.
On March 16, President Paz will be hosted by President Lula at the Planalto Palace to discuss topics such as cooperation in energy, physical integration, fight against transnational crimes, trade and investment, development cooperation, and migration and consular issues. On March 17, President Paz will open a business event in São Paulo aimed at exploring opportunities for trade and investment.
Brazil shares its longest land border with Bolivia, stretching for more than 3,400 kilometers. The countries have a historic relationship in the energy sector and are partners in important projects, such as the Paraguay-Paraná Waterway, South American integration routes, and the bridge over the Mamoré River that will connect the cities of Guajará-Mirim and Guayaramerín.
In 2025, bilateral trade totaled $2.6 billion. Brazilian exports to Bolivia reached $1.3 billion, and imports from that country also amounted to $1.3 billion. Bolivia is Brazil's main supplier of natural gas and an important provider of manure and fertilizers.
