The City and Borough of Juneau (CBJ) invites residents to share their insights into ways to improve the safety of Juneau's streets and roadways at three upcoming open house events. The information gathered at the events will help guide the development of a CBJ Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Safety Action Plan to create a safer transportation network for all users. Residents can also share their input by filling out the CBJ Safe Streets for All Public Survey and comment map available at bit.ly/CBJSafeStreets.
Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Open Houses:
The open houses and SS4A Safety Action Plan are funded through the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration's Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant program. Hosted by CBJ, the open houses will be facilitated by Kinney Engineering and RESPEC to gather input from all Juneau road-users - including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, motorists and commercial vehicle operators. The goal of the open house events is to understand the lived experience of Juneau's roadway users in addition to historical trends, roadway crash data and other factors across the entire jurisdiction.
Open houses are open to all. No RSVP is required.
