James Heintz is a dynamic and experienced business professional with a passion for the boating and power sports industries. At 39 years old, he currently serves as the Director of Global Product Strategy for Sea-Doo and Connected Vehicle Technology at Bombardier
Recreational Products (BRP Inc.). His expertise and leadership in the industry have been pivotal in shaping the future of marine and connected vehicle products across a wide range of segments and categories.
Before assuming his current position, James gained invaluable experience as the Product Strategy Director for Alumacraft fishing boats, Manitou pontoons, Evinrude outboard motors and Telwater boats in Australia. Notable achievements include growing Sea-Doo's market share to historically high levels as well as the launch of numerous innovative products that have been successful at welcoming new boaters into the industry. His career also includes a tenure as General Manager at North Hero Marina on Lake Champlain in Vermont, where he further honed his skills in operations, customer service, and business planning within the boating industry.
James' innovative approach to the recreational products sector has earned him recognition, including the prestigious Boating Industry's 40 Under 40 award. His work continues to influence the direction of the marine and power sports industries, with a particular focus on merging advanced technology and consumer-driven solutions.
Outside of his professional achievements, James is a dedicated father of two and a passionate advocate for the world of sailing, music, and adventure.
Residing in Quebec, Canada, James continues to bring a fresh perspective to BRP and remains committed to innovation and the sustainability of marine and power sports playgrounds.
