TRAFFIC UPDATE: Gary Avenue Reopened Between Thomas Road & Geneva Road
UPDATE: Gary Avenue has been reopened between Thomas Road and Geneva Road. It was previously closed to traffic while crews were addressing a downed power pole in the area. We appreciate your patience.
PREVIOUS MESSAGE:
Gary Avenue is currently closed in both directions between Thomas Road and Geneva Road due to a downed power pole caused by a truck that hit the pole. There are no reported injuries associated with this incident, and ComEd crews have been dispatched. The Wheaton Police Department has shut down this segment of Gary Avenue to traffic, and the closure is expected to last several hours. Drivers should find an alternate route while this road is closed. We will provide an update once the road has reopened. Thank you for your cooperation.
