The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities welcomed college students to the 2026 summer session of the HACU National Internship Program with an in-person orientation in Washington, D.C. and a virtual orientation. Selected interns are serving across federal agencies in Washington, D.C., and field offices nationwide. Interns will serve for 10 weeks as part of the summer internship session.
A welcome was given by HNIP Executive Director Diana Vasquez, followed by a keynote address given by Charielly Mota Rosario, a first-generation college graduate from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón.
The HACU National Internship Program fosters the professional development of aspiring students of all communities nationwide. Partnering with corporate and federal entities, HNIP offers internship opportunities that aim to prepare the next generation of leaders, bridging the gap between academics and real-world experience.
HACU is accepting applications for the 2026 fall internship session. Internship dates are Aug. 31 - Dec. 11, 2026. Applications will be accepted until July 14, 2026. Information about eligibility and online applications is available here.
