City of Bettendorf Invites Community to Annual Veterans Day Ceremony November 2, 2025 - The City of Bettendorf will honor and remember those who have served our country with a ceremony on Veterans Day - Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at Bettendorf's Veterans Memorial, located inside Veterans Memorial Park (1645 23rd Street). This year's Guest Speaker is Colonel Dan Mitchell, who retired as the Commander of the U.S. Army Garrison on the Rock Island Arsenal in 2024. Remarks will also be made by John Weiland, Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #9128 in Bettendorf, as well as Mayor Robert Gallagher, Jr. The public is encouraged and invited to attend.
