In the News: Stone Completes ARTBA 2026 Industry Leader Development Program

Georgia Transportation Leader Alex Stone, PE recently participated in the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) Foundation's 2026 Industry Leader Development Program (ILDP), a nationally recognized program that prepares industry leaders to help shape the future of transportation infrastructure policy and investment.

"As transportation programs become more complex, understanding how policy, funding, and delivery work together is critical to moving projects forward," said Stone. "This program provided an opportunity to strengthen that connection and bring greater insight back to our clients and partners."

Held annually, the ILDP provides participants with an in-depth understanding of how transportation projects are funded, delivered, and influenced at the federal level. This year's program was held May 11-13 in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with ARTBA's Federal Issues Program and the Transportation Construction Coalition's Washington Fly-In.

"Alex's selection to the ILDP speaks to the leadership and forward-thinking mindset he brings to our clients and industry," said Scott Bennett, GFT's roads and bridges market sector leader and member of ARTBA's board of directors. "His ability to connect project delivery with broader policy and funding conversations positions him to make a meaningful impact, both in Georgia and at the national level."
