UPDATE- July 9 at 12 am - July 9, 2025 12am - All systems have been restored and are fully operational.

July 8, 2025 - We have been made aware of a significant disruption to the 911 emergency call system affecting several counties in Central Florida, including Marion County. The outage has been linked to the cutting of a fiber optic cable in the Clermont area.

Emergency crews are actively working to restore full 911 service as quickly as possible. However, at this time, there is no estimated time of restoration (ETA) available.

In the meantime, we continue to coordinate closely with our law enforcement partners and other local agencies to provide timely information through official social media channels and local media partners.

Important Note for the Public:

Residents in need of emergency assistance are encouraged to use the Text-to-911 service, which remains fully operational and unaffected by the current outage.

We will share additional updates with the public as soon as more information becomes available.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time.
