FAIRMONT, W.Va. - Today, U.S. Senator Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.Va.) made stops in Fairmont, W.Va. focused on manufacturing and economic development.

First, Senator Capito traveled to Kibar Americas, an aluminum company, to tour the facility and discuss operations with staff. Kibar Americas acquired the former Novelis facility in Fairmont, which began a new chapter with major investment and opportunity for Marion County and the state of West Virginia.

"It was great to get a firsthand look at the creative ways Kibar Americas is working to provide innovative solutions to the automotive, packaging, HVAC, and construction markets in West Virginia," Senator Capito said. "I look forward to working with Kibar Americas to improve policies that maximize the value of industry leaders in West Virginia and across our country. The operations happening at this facility are incredibly important for many sectors of our economy, and I thank Kibar Americas for the great work they are doing in our state."

"We greatly appreciate Senator Capito's visit and her continued engagement with Kibar Americas as we work to restart the Fairmont facility. From the Senator's office to the local Fairmont community, West Virginia has been incredibly welcoming and has reinforced our belief that this is the right place for us to invest, create jobs, and build a stronger domestic aluminum supply chain," Atilla Cetinel, COO of Kibar Americas, said.

Next, Senator Capito visited Prime 6, a woman-owned business that grew from a Shark Tank pitch into an innovative manufacturer. By compressing and slow-carbonizing sawdust, Prime 6 produces long-burning charcoal for grilling and professional kitchens. During the visit, Senator Capito toured the company's facility and received an update on its operations and continued growth.

"It's exciting to visit Prime 6 and see just how much progress has been made since we first talked about the company's vision for West Virginia," Senator Capito said. "What started as an ambitious idea has grown into a thriving, woman-run manufacturing business that is creating jobs, revitalizing a former industrial site, and producing an innovative product right here in Marion County. It was great to tour the facility, hear about the company's continued growth, and see firsthand the impact Prime 6 is having on our state's economy. I'm proud that West Virginia has been a part of this success story, and I look forward to seeing what comes next for the Prime 6 team."

"Senator Capito has long been a champion for West Virginia manufacturing, innovation, and economic development. Her support for policies strengthens domestic industry and fosters an environment where companies like Prime 6 can invest, grow, and compete globally. We appreciate Senator Capito's continued commitment to advancing innovation and ensuring that West Virginia remains a leader in the next generation of manufacturing. We look forward to sharing Prime 6's vision and discussing the opportunities ahead for our state and our nation," Riki Franco, Founder & CEO of Prime 6, said.
