12th Street closure part of FM 179 road widening project
WOLFFORTH - Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, access to FM 179 from 12th Street will be temporarily closed. The closure will allow crews to continue to make road improvements to FM 179 and is expected to be in place two weeks.
12th Street traffic will be detoured to Corpus Avenue and 20th Street to connect with FM 179.
The work is part of a $9.6 million project to widen the roadway to accommodate a left-turn lane, improve drainage, place a new road surface, add traffic signals at US 62 and upgrade lighting.
