Meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Tangriguli Atahalliev

On March 4, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Honorable Tangriguli Atahalliev, who is in Dushanbe to participate in the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan on Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.

During the conversation, the state and prospects of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan and ways of its further development were discussed.

The Leader of the Nation noted with satisfaction the positive development of cooperation between the two countries and drew attention to the great opportunities for promoting this process in various sectors of the economy, including trade, industry, transport and logistics, as well as the agricultural sector.

At the same time, interest was expressed in the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties in the areas of sports and tourism, cultural, scientific and educational exchange, and youth.

Our Head of State emphasized the importance of continuing the active work of the Intergovernmental Commission to ensure effective cooperation between the two countries in these and other areas.

A fruitful exchange of views was also held on the issues of maintaining regular interstate dialogue on the entire range of bilateral agenda and close cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations.
