The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 47 in Washington. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, July 30 and be completed on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. The project 0174-0488CN "BB" consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.02-mile segment of Route 47 in Washington from Route 199 to Route 109. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Black and Boucher on Thursday, July 30 to Friday, July 31, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by O&G Industries is anticipated to begin on Thursday, August 6 to Tuesday, August 11, 2026.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 47 from Route 199 to Route 109. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
