CMSRU associate dean to receive honor from national academic internal medicine group

The Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM) has announced that Alisa Peet, MD, associate dean for program development & continuous quality improvement at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU), is the recipient of the 2025 Clerkship Directors in Internal Medicine (CDIM) Ruth-Marie E. Fincher, MD, Service Award. This prestigious award honors a CDIM member who has made significant contributions to the association.

Dr. Peet will receive the award during Academic Internal Medicine Week 2025, which will be held from April 6-9 in New Orleans, Louisiana. This annual event brings together over 4,000 faculty and administrative leaders from departments of internal medicine in medical schools and teaching hospitals across the United States.

"This year's Alliance Awards celebrate the commitment and innovative spirit of our members in the academic internal medicine community. Dr. Peet's achievement, recognized by her peers, is a distinguished milestone. We're grateful for her valuable contributions to our community," said AAIM President and CEO Polly E. Parsons, MD, MACP, FCCP, ATSF.

AAIM supports the professional development of its 12,000 members, who advance internal medicine education and prepare the next generation of physicians and leaders through education, research, engagement, and collaboration.

Dr. Peet joined CMSRU in 2022 and, in addition to her leadership role, serves as a hospitalist at Cooper University Health Care.

"We are incredibly proud of Dr. Peet for receiving this national honor. Her dedication to medical education and continuous quality improvement has made a lasting impact not only at CMSRU but also in the broader academic internal medicine community," said CMSRU Dean Annette C. Reboli, MD. "This recognition is a testament to her commitment and leadership, and we are fortunate to have her as part of our team."
