Marion City Hall Closed on Friday Due to Planned Internet Outage; Employees Will Work Remotely

A planned internet outage will affect Marion City Hall, 1225 6th Avenue, on Friday, Oct. 24. The outage is related to the relocation of the fiber network at City Hall.

Marion City Hall will be closed to walk-in traffic on Friday. Employees will work remotely to serve the community.

Administrative staff for the City Manager's Office and Community Development Department will be relocated to the Marion Public Library's Community Room from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Friday. Other employees will work from home or at other City facilities.

Residents and businesses may also conduct City business online, by phone or via email.

Internet service is expected to be restored later on Friday, with normal City Hall operations resuming on Monday, Oct. 27, at 8 a.m.
