TRAFFIC ALERT: Various ramp closures on I-35 in Liberty for pavement resurfacing, May 12-May 14

CLAY COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be conducting pavement resurfacing operations on I-35 resulting in various ramp CLOSURES in Liberty. All work is weather permitting.

  • Crews will close the I-35 ramp between Pleasant Valley and US-69 beginning on approx. Monday, May 12 until Wednesday, May 14 between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
  • Crews will close the MO 291 to I-35 northbound ramp beginning on approx.Tuesday, May 13 until Thursday, May 15 between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.
  • Crews will close the commuter lot off Glenn Hendren Dr. (Near Liberty Hospital) beginning on approx. Wednesday, May 14 until Friday, May 16 between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
