UPDATE
Redesigned Health app expands language support
Today, Apple's redesigned Health app will expand language support to global English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese, bringing powerful, personalized health insights to millions of people worldwide.1 Built with Apple Intelligence at its core, the Health app dynamically adapts to an individual's health metrics across iPhone and iPad, offering insight into how to optimize their day and a comprehensive view of long-term wellbeing.2, 3 The Health app has been built to securely and privately protect a user's data at every step.
The updated experience includes a new Insights tab that surfaces timely, holistic summaries spanning heart, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals, and cycle tracking data throughout the day. A dedicated For You section delivers intelligent recommendations tailored to a user's daily habits - such as practical guidance to adjust a wind-down routine following consecutive nights of interrupted sleep. The app pairs data with dynamic health content, offering educational videos and articles featuring Health app clinical experts.
To help users better understand their health trajectory, a new Longevity tab analyzes longitudinal metrics across heart health, sleep, mental wellbeing, movement, metabolic health, hearing, and nutrition. Central to this tab is Health Age, a feature that translates data from Apple Watch - including VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and heart rate variability - into a metric that reflects how a user's body is tracking relative to their chronological age. Users can also incorporate clinical laboratory data, such as A1c and LDL cholesterol, to enrich their long-term health picture.
Additionally, the update introduces at-home movement evaluations, which make physical assessments accessible without requiring specialized equipment. Using an iPhone camera and Apple Watch, users can measure their flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics, and VO2 max with real-time audio and visual feedback. Powered by on-device vision-based AI models and developed with clinical experts, the experience runs entirely on device; no video is ever recorded, stored, or shared.
The redesigned Health app is available in the iOS 27.3 developer beta today and will roll out to users as a free software update later this year. Apple will continue to expand support for the redesigned Health app in new languages.
