VICTORVILLE, Calif. - The community is invited to attend the City of Victorville Veterans Day Celebration, Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Old Town Victorville.
The event will kick off at 9 a.m. with a parade featuring a variety of marching bands, entertainers, and military units at the corner of 7th Street and Tracy Street. The Veterans Day Ceremony immediately follows the parade at the corner of 7th Street and Forrest Avenue at approximately 9:40 a.m.
The City will once again incorporate a Salute to Victorville Veterans into the Ceremony. Information about their military service will appear in the event program, and their photos will be featured in commemorative videos.
Included in this year's Ceremony will be a 'Victorville Veterans' video, featuring a discussion with four City of Victorville Employees reflecting on their military service.
Victorville's 29th Annual Veterans Day Celebration is made possible with the help of generous sponsors including Platinum Sponsor Kaiser Permanente, Freedom Sponsors SCLA and Victorville Chevrolet, Gold Sponsors Burrtec and IEHP, Silver Sponsor Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group, and Bronze Sponsor CEMEX.
Portions of 7th Street from Mojave Drive to B Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the Veterans Day Celebration. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Those attending this event are encouraged to travel Hesperia Road into Old Town.
