Question for written answer E-003521/2025
to the Commission
Rule 144
Özlem Demirel (The Left)
To allow for a faster and more flexible response to 'dynamic border situations', Frontex has conceived a unit called the Quick Reaction Force (QRF), divided into two sections: a mobile European QRF (E-QRF) with 40 standing corps officers for pan-European support and a contingent QRF (C-QRF) consisting of teams of volunteers under the existing quotas available for 'emergency situations'. The QRF staff will not have any periods of inactivity; when not deployed, they will be tasked with training the standing reserve or assigned to ongoing operations.
