Southbridge, MA - Savers Bank is proud to support local students and families with a $2,000 donation to the Friends of the Auburn Public Library. The funds will help power the library's summer reading program, giving students access to books, activities, and resources that keep learning going long after the school year ends.
Summer reading programs play an important role in helping students stay engaged, build confidence, and avoid the "summer slide." Through this initiative, the Auburn Public Library creates a fun, welcoming space where kids can explore new ideas and develop a lifelong love of reading.
"We believe strong communities start with strong foundations," said Rosemary Picard, President & CEO. "Supporting programs like summer reading helps give students the tools they need to succeed, both in and out of the classroom."
The Friends of the Auburn Public Library works year-round to enhance library programs and services for the community. Their summer reading program continues to be a highlight for local families, encouraging participation through interactive events, reading challenges, and educational activities.
Savers Bank remains committed to supporting local organizations that make a meaningful difference in the communities it serves.
