Volkswagen announces 2025 Taos pricing

Reston, VA - Today, Volkswagen of America, Inc., announced pricing for the 2025 Taos, refreshed with a bold new look, upgraded technology, and more power to complement the versatility and efficiency of this affordable, fun-to-drive SUV. Pricing for Taos models will start at an MSRP of $24,995 for the S front-wheel drive model and $26,695 for the S 4Motion all-wheel-drive model. Destination fee is $1,425.

For the 2025 model year, revised exterior styling and an expanded selection of paint options are joined by new wheel designs to deliver even more curb appeal. The updated exterior now sports a more expressive front-end look, including a new bumper design, a new grille with an available light bar, and standard LED projector headlights with available Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS). Connected taillights and an illuminated Volkswagen badge at the rear add to the distinctive, upscale appearance.

Upgraded in-car tech and powertrain refinements further elevate the appeal of this neatly packaged compact sport-utility vehicle. Specifically, the interior now sports a new dashboard design that features an 8-inch floating infotainment screen. Under the hood, the Taos's 1.5-liter turbocharged engine gets a power hike from 158 to 174 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive model now has an eight-speed conventional automatic transmission in place of the previous DSG dual-clutch automatic.

TAOS LINEUP

S
The entry-level Taos S starts at $24,995 MSRP for FWD and $26,695 for 4Motion AWD. Five exterior color options will be offered in the S trim: Deep Black Pearl, Pure White, Pyrite Silver, Platinum Grey, and Monterey Blue Pearl. Gray and Black Cloth is standard for the S trim.

Standard content includes: 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels for front-wheel-drive and 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels for 4Motion all-wheel drive; drive mode selection on 4Motion all-wheel drive; automatic on/off LED projector headlights; black roof rails; cloth seating surfaces; manual recline and height adjustment for front seats; heated front seats, heated side mirrors, heated washer nozzles (with 4Motion all-wheel-drive); 8-inch floating infotainment display; App Connect, Bluetooth; 8-inch digital cockpit; Volkswagen Car-Net® with Wi-Fi capability; remote start; KESSY® keyless Go. The 2025 Taos features VW's sophisticated suite of IQ.DRIVE® driver assistance features across all trims. This includes Travel Assist (semi-automated driving assistance); Front Assist (Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring); Active Blind Spot Monitor; Rear Traffic Alert; Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Stop and Go; Lane Assist (Lane Keeping System); and Emergency Assist (semi-automated vehicle assistance in a medical emergency).

SE
Building from the S model, SE pricing starts at $27,895 MSRP for FWD and $29,595 for 4Motion AWD. SE will be available in Deep Black Pearl, Pure White, Pyrite Silver, Platinum Grey, Bright Moss Green, Monument Gray, Monterey Blue Pearl, and Cornflower Blue.

SE models elevate the Taos experience with standard premium content, including18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels; silver roof rails; remote start; CloudTex and cloth materials in two different two-toned options; leatherette multifunction steering wheel; heated front seats and heated side mirrors; rear console A/C vents; and an 8-way driver power seat with lumbar support. The interior can be further enhanced by a panoramic glass roof available for an additional $1,200.

Advanced technology features include standard wireless charging and wireless App Connect; satellite radio and voice control; touch control for the Climatronic® HVAC system; full KESSY remote start; the Adaptive Front-lighting System; and Park Distance Control for both front and rear.

SE Black
On the SE Black trim, introduced for 2024, pricing starts at $30,145 MSRP for FWD and $31,845 for 4Motion AWD. It features a black roof, trim, and unique wheels-18-inches for front-wheel-drive models and 19-inches for 4Motion® all-wheel-drive models. Other standard content for the SE Black includes black mirror caps; black illuminated grille; and panoramic sunroof.

SEL
The SEL pricing starts at $34,695 MSRP, with standard 4Motion AWD. SEL will be available in Deep Black Pearl, Pure White, Pyrite Silver, Platinum Grey, Bright Moss Green, Monument Gray, Monterey Blue Pearl, and Cornflower Blue.

The SEL adds unique 19-inch alloy-machined-wheels; illuminated grille; leather seating surfaces, available in either a two-tone black and grey combination or a dark blue hue; ventilated front seats, ambient lighting; a panoramic sunroof; a 10.25-inch digital cockpit; and Dynamic Road Sign Display.
