Malaysia natural rubber production decreased by 8.8 per cent
in April 2026

Natural Rubber (NR) production decreased by 8.8 per cent in April 2026 (18,515 tonnes) as compared to March 2026 (20,310 tonnes). Year-on-year comparison showed that the production of NR increased by 2.8 per cent (April 2025: 18,008 tonnes). Production of NR in April 2026 for Malaysia was mainly contributed by smallholders (88.5%) as compared to estates (11.5%).<_o3a_p>
Total stocks of NR in April 2026 decreased by 6.2 per cent to 130,698 tonnes as compared to 139,387 tonnes in March 2026. Rubber processors factory contributed 76.9 per cent of the stocks followed by rubber consumers factory (23.0%) and rubber estates (0.1%).
Exports of Malaysia's NR amounted to 37,360 tonnes in April 2026, increased by 12.7 per cent as against March 2026 (33,137 tonnes). P.R. China remained as the main destination for NR exports which accounted 50.8 per cent of total exports in April 2026 followed by Germany (15.8%), the United States of America (4.7%), the United Arab Emirates (4.2%) and Portugal (3.7%). The exports performance was contributed by NR-based product such as rubber gloves, tyre, tube and rubber thread Rubber gloves were the main exports of rubber-based products with a value of RM1.4 billion in April 2026, an increase of 52.4 per cent as compared to March 2026 (RM0.9 billion).
In term of the average monthly price showed that concentrated latex recorded 754.69 sen per kilogram in April 2026 as compared to 665.40 sen per kilogram in March 2026 (+13.4 per cent). Meanwhile scrap recorded the average monthly price 691.26 sen per kilogram in April 2026 as compared to 654.27 sen per kilogram in March 2026 (+5.7 per cent).
