Motorcyclist Fatally Struck Thursday on Dickerson Pike
The motorcyclist fatally struck in Thursday's 4:25 p.m. crash on Dickerson Pike near Loraine Avenue has been identified as Brennan Strain, 29, of Nashville. The preliminary investigation indicates Strain was driving his Harley Davidson northbound when a Dodge Roadmaster van pulled into his path.
Strain was unable to stop and struck the passenger side of the van. The impact then caused the van to strike a Toyota Tacoma that was stopped on Lorraine Avenue.
The driver of the van remained at the scene and was not injured.
Strain died at the scene.
There was no evidence of impairment on part of any driver at the scene.
The investigation is continuing to determine if speed was a factor in this fatal crash.
