CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (April 26, 2025) - The Charlotte County Utilities Department reminds residents of year-round water conservation measures. Due to the extreme heat and lack of rain, we are seeing higher water usage for irrigation, which is resulting in lower water pressure throughout the system. Compared to last year, we are averaging two million gallons more of usage per day. Without a reduction in water demands, we may be required to reduce pressure within the system to maintain storage levels.
Lawn watering is limited to two days per week (if needed). Based on the last number in your service address:
Hand watering and micro-irrigation of plants (other than lawns) may be done on any day and at any time.
