New York, NY - November 12, 2025 - Turner Classic Movies (TCM) has announced the first slate of films to be showcased at the 17th Annual TCM Classic Film Festival, taking place in Hollywood, California on April 30 through May 3, 2026. Included will be a 75th anniversary world-premiere restoration of Alice in Wonderland, a 90th anniversary presentation of Modern Times, The Day the Earth Stood Still, The Magnificent Seven and more.

To build excitement ahead of the festival, TCM and Fandango at Home, Fandango's leading video-on-demand streaming service, have partnered to offer exclusive holiday gifting items through Fandango FanStore. For the first time, newly designed merchandise will feature a custom festival holiday poster, ceramic ornaments, jigsaw puzzles, and cozy sherpa blankets, launching on November 12, 2025.

This year's theme, "The World Comes to Hollywood" will celebrate the gifted and vital artists, innovators and craftsmen who arrived in Hollywood from distant lands, and advanced the art, commerce and culture of cinema with extraordinary motion pictures, many now enshrined as part of our national film heritage.

The first titles of this year's festival as follows:

  • ALICE IN WONDERLAND (1951) - 75TH anniversary world premiere restoration
Walt Disney's whimsical animated adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic novel follows a curious girl as she tumbles down a rabbit hole into a fantastical world filled with eccentric characters and surreal adventures.

  • A PLACE IN THE SUN (1951) - 75TH anniversary presentation
George Stevens directs Montgomery Clift, Elizabeth Taylor, and Shelley Winters in this romantic drama about an up-and-coming young factory worker whose heart and ambition lead him to make tragic choices.

  • GASLIGHT (1944)
Director George Cukor's psychological thriller starring two European actors-Charles Boyer and Ingrid Bergman in her first Oscar-winning role-follows a young woman whose husband manipulates her into doubting her sanity as part of a sinister plot.

  • OUT OF THE PAST (1947)
French born director Jacques Tourneur's quintessential Hollywood film noir follows a private detective (Robert Mitchum) drawn into a web of deceit and betrayal when he's hired by a mob boss (Kirk Douglas) to find his beautiful, and dangerous, ex-flame (Jane Greer).

  • MODERN TIMES (1936) - 90TH anniversary presentation
Directed by and starring English transplant Charlie Chaplin, this satirical comedy blends slapstick humor with poignant social commentary as the iconic Little Tramp character navigates the dehumanizing effects of industrialization during the Great Depression.

  • THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (1951) - 75TH anniversary presentation
Set against the backdrop of the Cold War, this landmark science fiction film depicts what happens when an alien armed with a powerful robot arrives on Earth to deliver a warning about humanity's violent tendencies.

  • THE MAGNIFICENT SEVEN (1960)
Inspired by Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai (1954), director John Sturges' Western follows seven skilled gunmen, including stars Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, and James Coburn, who band together to defend a Mexican village from ruthless bandits.
