Person County Flips Voter Registration Advantage to Republican

North Carolina Republicans are committed to flipping North Carolina's voter registration. On Friday, volunteers took to Person County to help celebrate the NC Democrat Chair's birthday: by flipping her home county to more registered Republicans than Democrats!

On January 10, Republicans trailed by just five registrations. Today's update shows an advantage of 8,812 to 8,802 following work done by volunteers in Person County and the 13th District Republican Party.

Week after week, Republicans make gains across North Carolina adding more registered voters. In 2024, Republicans won early voting for the first time ever -- giving Republicans a structural advantage when it comes to getting out the vote.

Even the liberal opinion board of the Raleigh News & Observer said "NC Democrats can't ignore their plummeting registration numbers" in a recent column.

"Republicans are recruiting, training, and deploying volunteers across North Carolina to ensure we have the infrastructure in place to win up and down the ballot this year. As our party continues to grow, we will leave no stone unturned to win," said NCGOP Chairman Jason Simmons.

Happy Birthday, Anderson!
