Explore Daggerwing in Spring

Daggerwing Nature Center is in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. For more information on county-operated nature centers, visit www.pbcnature.com. All programs are by reservation only unless otherwise stated. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com under "Online Services." Click on Register/Pay for Program. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation and recreation, and educate the community on health and wellness.

ANIMAL FEEDINGS & TALKS
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 2:45 p.m.
Saturdays, 1 p.m.

All ages, FREE (Reservations not required)
During feeding time, listen to a short talk about one of Daggerwing's resident animals.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: FUN FROGS
Tuesday, March 3, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 2-5 (w/guardian), $4/child (Reservations required)
Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

DAGGERWING VISITS THE LIBRARY: FROGS & TOADS
Tuesday, March 10, 3 p.m.

Adults and children ages 5+, FREE (Reservations required)
Enjoy a special program about frogs and toads located at the Glades Rd Branch Library! Call the library for details and RSVP at (561) 482-4554.

DIPNETTING
Thursday, March 19, 10 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Find out what creatures naturally live in the water of a wetland! Learn how to collect small pond animals and then observe and identify your findings. Please bring water, sun protection and closed-toe shoes that can get wet/muddy.

NIGHT HIKE
Friday, March 20, 7 p.m.
Adults and children ages 8+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Ever wondered what Daggerwing's boardwalk would be like after dark? First, learn about nocturnal animals in our classroom and then join a naturalist on a tour of the boardwalk at night!

RADICAL REPTILES
Saturday, March 21, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 5+, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist for a family-friendly program focusing on the amazing world of reptiles! Learn about these diverse scaly creatures and meet some resident reptiles up close and personal.

INTRO TO ARCHERY
Saturday, March 28, 10:30 a.m.
Adults and children ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery-certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills and proper use of a bow and arrow before practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children.
