The 3900 block of Clifton Road, from Aladdin Street to Cranbrook Street, is closed due to a 12-inch water main break. Approximately 25 customers are without water service.
City crews will be on-site until repairs are completed, the road reopened, and service is restored, which is expected by 12 am tomorrow, Tuesday, December 16. Signs and traffic cones are in place, and motorists are urged to use alternate routes to avoid the area. See the map below for the location.
If you notice discoloration or cloudy water coming from your tap after the repairs, run cold water for a few minutes through a faucet without an aerator, such as an outside spigot or bathtub, until clear.
For water and sewer emergencies, including main breaks and sewer stoppages, or changes in the taste, odor, or color of drinking water, call Water Resources 24-hour Dispatch at 336-373-2033.
