Academic Innovation & Why It Matters

With an approach to transform lives, Byron Rich, assistant provost of academic innovation and associate professor of art, has had the honor of founding the Allegheny Lab for Innovation & Creativity.

The program has expanded into a second location off campus on Bessemer Street in Meadville, Pennsylvania- ALIC @ Bessemer. Academic innovation has led ALIC @ Bessemer to integrate the liberal arts with technical education.

It serves as a branch campus of Allegheny College, taking a radical approach to training the next generation of manufacturers and professionals in emerging technologies in the region.
