RaceTrac's annual Run for Research 5K returned to Truist Park in Atlanta on September 26, 2026, bringing together runners, families and community supporters to raise funds for Parkinson's disease research through The Michael J. Fox Foundation. All proceeds, including 100 percent of registration fees, go directly to The Michael J. Fox Foundation's high-impact global research programs seeking better treatments and a cure.

Annual Event Raises Awareness & Support for Parkinson's Disease Research

Hundreds of runners, walkers, families, and community supporters gathered at Truist Park for RaceTrac's annual Run for Research 5K, a tradition that continues to make a meaningful impact in the fight against Parkinson's disease.

Hosted in partnership with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, the event brought participants of all ages together for a morning focused on community, awareness, and giving back. From the 1K fun run to the signature 5K race, attendees crossed the finish line on the field at Truist Park while supporting a cause that touches millions of lives around the world.

Run for Research is RaceTrac's annual charity race benefiting The Michael J. Fox Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating research and advancing treatments for Parkinson's disease. The event is part of RaceTrac Gives Back, the company's broader commitment to supporting organizations and initiatives that help make people's lives simpler and more enjoyable.

Through registration fees, donations, and community support, Run for Research helps fund research efforts aimed at improving treatments and ultimately finding a cure for Parkinson's disease.

A Morning of Community & Purpose

Participants enjoyed a high-energy atmosphere filled with music, food, giveaways, and activities for the whole family. Runners and walkers came together not only to challenge themselves on race day but also to demonstrate support for individuals and families impacted by Parkinson's disease.
