Graphic design students earn 3 golds, 15 awards total in New Talent contest

Campbell University graphic design students earned three Gold Awards and 12 Honorable Mentions from publisher Graphis Inc. in its 2025 New Talent Awards, announced this fall.

Arianna Aguila, Sydnee Hartman (pictured above) and Jamari Cannady Pratt each earned Gold honors, while Aguila, Pratt, Helen Arsenault, Meredith Ashburn, Allyson Hatcher, Simon Osbourne, Gordon Parker, Joshua Sledge and Samantha Terrio each earned honorable mention. According to Campbell Visual Arts Program Director Dejan Mravoic, the students were chosen out of 1,592 submissions from 21 different countries.

"The majority of submissions from other research institutions are coming from graduate students of graphic design, while our students are undergraduate," he said.

Graphis Inc. is an international publisher of books and awards for the visual communications industry and publishes a magazine for graphic design, typography and advertising.
