April Showers Bring Writing Powers

by S.

Have you ever had a story stuck in your head, but had a hard time transferring it to paper? A lot of us have been there! The Lewiston City Library will be hosting professors and faculty from LCSC's English department to teach Writing Workshops that can help with this very issue. Whether it's poetry, fiction or nonfiction, this three-day workshop will be able to give you some tips and tricks to get your creative thoughts out of your head and onto your paper (or computer screen!).

Starting with April 15th, Dr. Lauren Connolly will be here to help patrons find their poetic voice.

April 22nd, Dr. Louis Sylvester will show patrons great tips and tricks on creating well-rounded characters and an interesting plot line.

Lastly, April 29th, Jennifer Anderson will be here to teach patrons how to think and write from a nonfiction perspective.

These workshops are totally free of cost and chock-full of accessible knowledge to help you become a better writer. This event does not require a registration either, so feel free to just stop in! The dates are Tuesdays April 15th, 22nd, and 29th from 5:00pm - 6:30pm in the Event Space.
